2016 Sturdy Dirty Enduro Announced: Sold Out!
Washington’s popular women’s-only mountain bike race returns June 18th
Seattle, Washington—Sturdy B*tch Racing, a Seattle-based mountain bike team dedicated to promoting women in mountain biking through racing, trail building and race organizing, today announced the 3rd annual Sturdy Dirty Enduro mountain bike race, which will be held on June 18, 2016 at the Tiger Mountain bike trails near Seattle. LIV returns as title sponsor of the mountain bike race, with Modus Sports Group (Shimano, Pearl Izumi) and the Muddbunnies as supporting sponsors.

Event: The Sturdy Dirty Enduro, Washington State’s only women-specific mountain bike race, brings racers together to experience timed downhill-orientated course sections, uphill transition trail riding and fun-filled aid stations. Racers can expect a serious race in a festive environment, with costumed volunteers and themed aid stations lending a party vibe. In previous years, aid stations have featured bacon hand-ups, snow cones, a Mexican cantina and a limbo station. An after-party will include food, beverages, awards
Says Ady Bee Lane, one of five Sturdy Dirty Enduro organizers: “Our goal is to provide a challenging race that is also, and perhaps most importantly, fun. We want everyone to enjoy themselves during and after the race, not just the few that make it to the top of the box. The Sturdy Dirty is about racing hard and celebrating together.”
Course: Specific course details will be announced closer to the event date. The course will be designed to appeal to the majority of racers, though riders should be aware that the Tiger Mountain trail system contains sections of trail that may pose some difficulty for beginner riders. Racers can expect around 3,000 feet of elevation gain and 15 miles
Registration: Race entry is capped at 225 racers and sold out within 28 hours. Giving Back: At last year’s event, Sturdy B*tch Racing donated $3,000 of Sturdy Dirty
Enduro proceeds to Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, the local mountain bike advocacy group that builds and manages the Tiger Mountain trails. Sturdy B*tch Racing hopes to donate funds again this year and further assist in Evergreen’s trail building efforts.
