Ride Leaders: Rae and Julie
This ride is scheduled a bit later than usual to give you all time to get up here. Kamas is about 20 minutes east of park city, so we will ride at 6:30pm.
Trail Description: This is an intermediate ride with a decent amount of climbing. Because this is an intermediate ride we will plan to go at a good pace (nothing crazy) so we can get up and down before dark, but these are NO DROP rides as always!
Let's plan to ride the front intermediate loop (Trailforks: Up high star climb and down HSR upper Dh and HSR super flow) which is 6 miles total. We climb about 1000 ft in 3 miles, not too steep, but it's climbing. If we want more, we can choose to do the higher loop, the climbing gets steeper and harder and will add about 2.5 miles.
There are two sections of descent, the first is rocky with a few potential jumps, but nothing mandatory. The second section is smoother with some great sweeping berms.

Directions to Trailhead: Meet in the northern most gravel parking area at the High Star Ranch. From SLC, come up I-80 towards Park CIty. Get off 80 onto 40 towards Kamas and Heber. You will get off on exit 4 toward Kamas and turn left under the freeway to get onto Highway 248. Follow 248 past Jordanelle and into Kamas. Once in Kamas at the light, turn left onto HWY 32, follow a few miles and look for High Star Ranch on your right side. Once into High Star, turn left at the T intersection and follow that road to the end of the gravel parking lots. There will be signs pointing you to the trailhead.
