WomenMTB Wasatch Club - Fat Tire Bike Demo and Ride
Meet at the National Ability Center for a group ride at the Round Valley Trail system. Bring your own fat tire bike or sign up to demo one from the Bingham Cyclery Fat Tire fleet. There will be 12 bikes available per group. All demos are free, but you must register ahead of time to secure a bike, first come first serve.
First group will leave at 10:00am and second group at 12:30pm. We will ride for about 1.5-2 hours. If you are demoing a bike please arrive 30 minutes before ride time to get set up on your demo bike.
Reservation will open the 1st of February for club members and the following week for non club members.
If riding in the snow is new for you, check out a blog post about what to wear here.
Event is also subject to weather. Please refer to the facebook group for updates on weather and/cancelation.
WomenMTB & Bingham Cyclery Skills Day
Bingham Cyclery and WomenMTB have joined up to offer an opportunity for ladies to get together, socialize and ride bikes. There will be free food, demo bikes from Bingham's, a mechanic on hand and FREE skills clinics.
DEMO BIKES: Demo bikes will start at 2:30 along with the food and fun. There is a limited amount available so rides will be limited to 30 minutes. If you want to try something for sure, show up early and get it first thing. You will need a form of ID, credit card and either your own pedals or be ready to use flat pedals. Don't forget your own helmet and other protective wear if you choose.
FREE SKILLS SESSIONS: We have recruited some great coaches to share their skills. We will offer a beginner and intermediate session both at 3:30 and 5:00pm (4 sessions total). SPACE IS LIMITED so please REGISTER HERE. We will let you know prior if you got in or are on the waiting list.
Follow this link for an idea of what it means to be beginner or intermediate. These definitions are very subjective, so just sign up where you feel most comfortable. You will have fun either way!
Arrive early enough to be on your bike, sign a liability waiver (at the Bingham Cyclery tent) and be ready to ride at your clinic start time. Each session will meet in the parking lot near the Bingham's tents.
We will be playing at the skills park at Trailside. If you are not signed up for a skills session, just come join us for food and fun.
Contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
